While the easiest way to learn about Everfund is to speak to us as soon as possible, another valuable method is to learn more about how the people we work with. See what they feel about what Everfund can offer.
This is the story of Everfund's successful workings with the Bomber County Gateway Trust, or BCGT.
Who are the BCGT?
The BCGT is a registered charity with a single specific goal. They want to build a special landmark near the A46 on the border between Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, inspired by the heroism of Bomber Command and the Royal Air Force during the Second World War and in other conflicts since. Their plan is to craft a construction known as “On Freedom’s Wings” which will feature an Avro Lancaster bomber, flying back home to RAF Swinderby.
How did the BCGT collect donations previously?
Before working with Everfund, the BCGT had been working with a number of ad hoc donation systems. These featured branding from the system providers, confusing processes for donor and recipient alike, and other arbitrary limitations that delivered delays and generated hassle.
Ken Sadler, BCGT’s chairman said “We were using Just Giving which we found difficult and confusing to operate and found the arbitrary time-limits on campaigns frustrating at times.”
What did Everfund offer instead? - Everfund produced a simple and easy to use donation platform. One with no time limits specific to the campaign and a far more beneficial cost-to-benefit ratio. Rather than taking web visitors to a separate website or another place to pay, Everfund set up both the donation system and Gift Aid integration easily and simply.
How does the BCGT's donation systems work now?
In the words of Mr Ken Sadler, “The system is more reliable and user friendly which is important to us as we don’t have time to manage the minutiae of fund raising – it leaves us free to organise the events instead.”
When users come to donate, the only branding they see now is that of the BCGT.
When the charity needs donation metrics, how much has come in, where it’s come from, when it arrived, everything is just a minimal matter of clicks away.
“The data is easy to access and we can rely on payments into our bank on a regular basis.” Mr Sadler explained.
On the very rare occasions where problems have come up, resolution has been quick, efficient, and friendly “...where we have had a query, we’ve been very pleased that we can just pick up the phone and speak to one of the team”
